Jocko's Steakhouse (in Nipomo) My $61 20oz ribeye came with a side salad, toast, a choice of side (e.g. backed potato, vegetables, rice, etc.), and dessert! Fun fact!! The restaurant used to be a garage car saloon before it turned into a steakhouse!

Jocko's is a destination. Buck was our server and a real PRO. He took great care of us. The food is terrific and bring your appetite. They have a 20 ounce Filet and Ribeye. We decided on smaller portions that were still substantial. The sides were excellent and included salad with house made dressing, baked potato and beans. After dinner they bring a scoop of ice cream. It's very casual and a true gem.

Jocko's is my favorite Santa Maria style restaurant. I recommend their Spencer(ribeye). Do 20oz and take the leftover. That's the perfect thickness for the optimal juiciness. Sweetbreads are great for sharing.

Classic old school steakhouse. Grilled steaks are excellent. Huge portions of food so you probably will have leftovers.

The Sweetbreads Are Divine

Best BBQ on the planet. I don't like SMOKY BBQ and this is definitely not that. I don't know their secret but there is no place like it. We lived in Nipomo for a while and tried all the famous BBQ places. Jocko's is the only one I go back to every time I get the chance.
